FTL on the River Radio Wellbeing Show
Emma Jane Taylor broadcasts weekly on River Radio (which is available to listen to on digital radio).
Today I was invited to join a small group of panelists for Emma Jane’s show.
Lorna Mcardle who runs supportu.org.uk founded this organisation about 10 years ago and is very experienced in LGBT issues. We have shared the airwaves previously on Emma Jane’s show. Lorna is a lesbian but came out quite late. I do recommend her organisation which offers lots of support. She is based in the Reading area. The other panelist was Helen Garlick who used to be a family lawyer but has now written a book entitled No Place to Lie. She spoke movingly about her mother who is no longer alive and went to her grave with a secret which only after her death became apparent. Helen’s mother was a lesbian and this was unknown to Helen and the rest of the family. Fortunately she was able to learn more about her mother’s secret life through a woman who her mother had had a relationship with. What a discovery for Helen.
The hour raced along and if you have a moment to spare on the 3rd May from 11-12 in the morning, have a listen.
