Visit from Gendered Intelligence

On the 20th February we were delighted to welcome at our Battersea venue Jake Kelly (he/him) from Gendered Intelligence (GI). Jake is the Head of Youth and Families Services at GI.

He spoke movingly about his own transition and how his life has moved forward with his partner and their child.

It was very important that our FTL-T section of FTL attended this meeting at Battersea. David and Gill who run FTL-T advertised this meeting on their WhatsApp group and the attendance was amazing. So many parents wanted to speak about their children and Jake was able to provide so much information about what GI offers. We are now linked with GI as a first port of call for anything associated with transgender issues and likewise they will come to us for the support we offer to parents and family members having to address this quite often difficult situation.
